Tips for an easy install on your Ford Econoline replacement windows:

If possible, cut the openings with a center-blade shear rather than a jigsaw. This produces a cleaner opening, reduces debris, and minimizes hammering on the sheet metal of the van.

Make sure to paint the cut edges of the new window opening. Skipping this step can cause rust on the edges of the window mounting.

These windows are designed to clamp onto the sheet metal body of the vehicle and do not require any spacers. They cannot clamp to anything larger than 1/8″.

Let the self-tapping screws bore their own hole, but pre-drill with a 1/16″ metal drill bit to help get them started without risking damage to the window or screw. For faster installation, use a drill to get the screw started, then finish tightening with a handheld screwdriver to avoid stripping the hole.
