Tips for an easy install on your Ford Econoline replacement windows:

• If possible, cut the openings with a center-blade shear rather than a jigsaw. This produces a cleaner opening, reduces debris, and minimizes hammering on the sheet metal of the van.

• Make sure to paint the cut edges of the new window opening. Skipping this step can cause rust on the edges of the window mounting.

• These windows are designed to clamp onto the sheet metal body of the vehicle and do not require any spacers. They cannot clamp to anything larger than 1/8″.

• Let the self-tapping screws bore their own hole, but pre-drill with a 1/16″ metal drill bit to help get them started without risking damage to the window or screw. For faster installation, use a drill to get the screw started, then finish tightening with a handheld screwdriver to avoid stripping the hole.
